I am just in love with these rainy engagement photos that were captured in Dumbo Brooklyn!
Clients will occasionally ask me, “What if it rains during our scheduled shoot?” My response is always “Do it anyway”! Sometimes it works out for the best when things don’t go the way that you planned, and these rainy day engagement photos in Dumbo are a testament to that. After scouring the web for inspiration photos in Dumbo, Brooklyn I was able to imagine exactly what I wanted these images to look like. Unfortunately, the rain was not part of that original vision!
The cobblestone streets of Dumbo Brooklyn are filled with warehouse buildings and trendy local small businesses. The backdrop is a picturesque view of the Manhattan skyline. Dumbo is home to art galleries and tech start-ups. It’s old-world New York meets modern-day life, making it an ideal location for a couples shoot!
My stay in NYC was a bit too short. So I wasn’t about to let a little rain ruin this shoot with such an awesome couple! Instead – we created unique, one-of-a-kind images, unlike any others I’d seen of this location when I was researching online. With soft light and drizzle, my clients had a more intimate experience for their shoot with lots of snuggling, kissing, and laughter! We were able to reimagine this iconic NYC waterfront location for their engagement shoot and have an epic experience while doing so! By the end of the session, we were all soaking wet and laughing our faces off!
