& I KNOW EVERYONE I PHOTOGRAPH FEELS THE SAME WAY!
FAMILY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ME
The heirloom frames of my grandparents who are no longer with us and my wedding album are my most prized possessions. They are the number one things I would grab if my house was on fire.
I pour my heart and soul into every photo I take, striving to bring something so magical and unique to my families that it is truly priceless and impossible to replace.
I HOPE MY FAMILIES LOOK BACK ON MY PHOTOGRAPHS OF THEM WHEN THEY ARE OLD AND GRAY, AND THOSE PICTURES WILL BE THEIR MOST TREASURED POSSESSIONS.
HEARTFELT AND AUTHENTIC
Lifestyle Family Photography
Free spirited, unposed moments.
Any parent will tell you, life with kids is not full of perfect moments where everyone is seated serenely with smiles and perfect hair. That’s not my family, and that’s not yours. I don’t want your perfect - I want you just as you are. I capture the feeling of forgotten days that blur together, freezing the moments that truly compose our lives.
Life moves fast. Children grow up, our relatives move away or pass on. I want you to be able to hold these photos decades in the future, remembering your family as they once were, while you wonder where all the time went.
WHAT MAKES MY WORK DIFFERENT
I don’t want you or your children to feel like you’re “getting photos taken”. My goal is to create timeless art from the love between families. I do this by making sure your session is an easy, pleasurable experience to be enjoyed by all. We’re going to photograph the moments that tell the world exactly who you are.
A lifestyle session captures real moments, honest emotions, and unstaged interactions. While I do a few formal poses at each session, I much prefer to let your family be themselves. I encourage playing, tickling, hugging and anything that feels natural. It always makes for fun, relaxed sessions and happy children and parents!
Why invest in a family photo session?
FOR THE MILESTONES
FOR THE ONES YOU LOVE
FOR THE MEMORIES
Laughter, hugs, joy, tears, connection. The otherwise forgotten but precious moments on simple days are what plant the seeds for nostalgia. These are the times families hold closest to their hearts as they grow older. The passing of days are a special kind of milestone in of itself.
When expecting your new child. Birthdays. The first day of kindergarten. Graduation. These are just a few special celebrations throughout family life worthy of documenting. There’s no reason to lose the opportunity to capture these once-in-a-lifetime occasions of growth and transformation.
Maybe mom is always the one behind the camera. Maybe your siblings have all moved far away. Maybe your children will be disappointed when they grow older, and there are no family photos to share with their children. And maybe life is just too fragile - our elders will pass on, and others may leave us long before it should have been their time.
"Do you remember the time...?"
