Due to Covid 19 and travel restrictions, it was not possible for Aure and Blake to gather their international families in the same place. So they decided to have an intimate & elegant Ritz Paris Elopement Wedding, in the very city where the bride was born 42 years ago.
Aure chose not to go for a white dress but something that represents her colorful personality; something out of the box. She wore a vibrant yellow Zuhair Murad couture gown. Her vibrant gown worked its way through the backsplash of the locations throughout the Ritz, such as the grand staircase. Thus creating a new take on the classic look more commonly seen at the Hôtel Ritz.
That’s just one of the reasons why I believe the Ritz Paris was the absolute perfect wedding venue for this couple. The Hôtel Ritz makes a statement all its own. But pair this venue with a couple who has an outgoing personality, highly exquisite modern taste, and thinks outside the box, and you’re left with a unique take on an iconic classic venue!
As a wedding photographer, I think that the Hôtel Ritz in Paris is one of the most beautiful wedding venues. Especially if you want to celebrate a small event such as your elopement. Click here to read more about wedding day options with the Ritz Paris ranging from elopements to grand weddings!

For Aure & Blakes Ritz Paris elopement, the first look and small ceremony were performed in none other than the iconic Ritz “Grand Jardin”. Amongst a foundation of manicured hedges and white rose bushes, the two said their vows. Aure’s best friend, her maid of honor, served as the couple’s officiant. The Grand Jardin at the Hôtel Ritz is a private oasis that hosts unique wedding ceremonies of up to 120 guests among its meticulously landscaped lawns. And it is a befitting space for a wedding day ceremony that is timeless and unforgettable.
Because of rain and uncertainty of clear skies, our original choices for portraits locations were both nearby and offered covered protection from the rain. This meant choosing iconic passageways around the Louvre, and the surreal grounds of the Palais Royal. Due to an unforeseen security concern, the Palais Royal – our first choice of ceremony portraits – was closed. Police had closed off the area to respond to a potential threat and we were not able to access it. Fortunately, I know some of the best locations for portraits in Paris so we moved on to Plan B, and hoped for the rain to hold off!
We captured the remaining portraits at none other than the Pont Alexandre III and the gate of Petit Palais. Aure’s yellow Zuhair Murad gown was made for this location. Scroll through to see all of the iconic moments of Aure & Blake’s Ritz Paris Elopement Wedding!
